AboutMe
I began my own ‘fitness journey’ after graduating high school where I played softball, was a cheerleader and twirled baton. Having no real outlet for sports, I started going to the gym, and going to aerobics and structured classes, I then moved onto cardio (when I actually figure out how to use machines). Once I started experimenting with the weights, I quickly became addicted to weight training. Realizing early on that a solid workout program and clean eating habits were essential in staying ‘fit’, I promptly adopted a new ‘lifestyle’ and haven’t looked back since.
As my love of fitness grew, and my separation anxiety for being competitive got stronger, in 2002 I decided to try my hand at fitness competitions. After winning and placing in the Top 3 in several NPC shows from ’02-‘05, in 2005 I won the Overall Title at the Fitness Nationals, and earned professional status. My Pro debut was on the Fitness International – Arnold Classic Stage. I won the 2008 NY Pro Fitness, as well as having qualified and competed in the Fitness Olympia since 2006, I have been invited to and competed in 3 Arnold Classics, and have also placed in the Top 5 of several other Pro Shows.
I am lucky to have such an amazing support system including, my amazing husband Jeff, my parents and sisters, my manager, and of course all of my ‘fitness friends’. |
